Using thread lock to secure machine screws is common practice in the RC industry. Did you know cleaning the threads with rubbing alcohol before applying the thread locker will ensure a better bond? RC fuels, shock oils, and greases prevent the thread locker from working correctly, creating a weak bond. This can result in screws backing out and there’s nothing more annoying than having a part fall off, while your in the middle of your running session, because of a loose or missing screw. Threadlock is designed to be used where metal threads are inserted into metal threads so it isn’t very effective on plastic parts. Always use medium strength thread lock because you may want to remove the screw eventually.
